Roles and Responsibilities
Responsible for the overall improvement of the Engineering division which is associated with customers like Airbus and different suppliers. Monitors and assess the process and methods of team and define actions, follow the actions, coordinate for the implementation of actions and check its effectiveness for improvement of Quality, Productivity and Delivery.
Overall Purpose of the Role:
Provide clear inputs for the development of the team focused on Quality, Productivity, and delivery and user friendly solutions for continuous improvement. Develop quality-process links with Production team, Quality team and recommend viable solutions after proper study.
Responsible for proper communication with the customers and suppliers on regular basis and clarify all issues concerning our Nonconformities based on proper root cause analysis study.
Work proactively with all Managers, experts and all employees to maintain a programme of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility by better coordination. Manage the action plan follow-up used by the department which is used to propose or implement the actions in coordination with the production managers, production team members, Quality manager or Human resource manager as required.
To assess a production organization & a specific process
Identify / determine the risk in the process.
Propose improvement of a production organization specific process include new tools.
Provide technical oversight of suppliers and lead process improvements. Motivates, develop and mentor fellow employees to achieve excellent technical and business outcomes.
Support initiatives on engineering excellence, employee development, entoring, and customer engagement
Audit the suppliers on a regular basis
Visit the suppliers and assures the quality of the manufactured product as per the drawings and specification provided by the design team before to ship to the customer.
Implement improvement activities and assist in lessons learnt, problem resolution & bench marking the best practices.
To analyze and perform root cause analysis for all Non conformities in production.
To check the action effectiveness and check the need for any alternate actions.
To ensure the company QMS and customer requirements are not deviated and propose actions whenever a deviation is identified.
To propose customized training modules or improvement of the modules adapted to the requirement of the project.
Presentation of the quality analysis and process reviews with the customer and answering to the queries.
Actively participate in quality and process reviews with technical center management team.
Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) data for the projects responsible if requested.
This position may require some travel within India.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience and knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems)
Knowledge of surface finishes, coatings, paints, sealants, bonding and grounding.
Post-production technical experience with emphasis in commercial/military aircraft sustainment, repairs, spares, and modification programs preferred
Experience reviewing and interpreting industry specifications, standards and drawings
Experience creating and maintaining product structure, bill of materials, and assembly work instructions
Must have experience working with cross-functional teams across multiple products and locations
Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
Communication – strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals, Statements of Work, and connect technology to business considerations. Candidate must be fluent in English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's degree with 5 to 8 years’ experience, Master's degree with 3 to 5 years' experience. Bachelor or Master of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Production Engineering, Materials Engineering.
